Car Loan Application

Trouble Financing A Car with Bad Credit?

If you have a less than ideal credit score, you might be concerned about finding a car loan with favorable terms. Getting a car loan with bad credit can be a frustrating endeavor. Some lenders may only consider you for subprime auto loans, which often come with less favorable terms and higher monthly payments. Don’t give up hope. You are not alone and you do have healthy options.Even if your credit score needs improvement, you can still find a car loan that doesn’t break your monthly budget. And making consistent payments towards an auto loan is an excellent way to repair your credit. Here at Greenville Nissan, our goal is to work with you if you have credit challenges. We take the pressure and hassle of getting financed out of the car shopping process. Here are some tips you may consider when shopping for a car with bad credit: Know your credit score.Taking action to repair your credit score before you begin shopping can help you find a more favorable position with some lenders. Research. It is very important to prepare as much as possible so you’re not caught off guard when the time comes to negotiate. Research should include key terms, like Annual Percentage Rate (APR), which refers to a loan’s yearly interest rate. If you’re buying used, it also helps to know the Kelley Blue Book value of your preferred car. Pre-qualify with banks and lenders. Even if you don’t think you can get a loan, go to your bank, go to your credit union first. One of your most powerful negotiating tools could be pre-qualifying for a loan from a bank or a credit union. Terms Final. Make sure the terms of your loan are final. If you finance through a dealer, always make sure the terms are final before you sign. If you don’t, you may face higher monthly payments or increased down payment in the future. Stay clear of subprime lenders. Subprime car loans might come with higher interest rates and are not likely to help you improve your credit score. Many subprime loans also use your vehicle as collateral. So if you fail to make payments, you risk losing your car altogether. Think loan terms NOT monthly payments. Look for the most favorable terms, usually the lowest APR over the shortest period of time. That way, you’ll have more manageable monthly payments with reasonable interest rates. Lower monthly payments may seem good on paper and are used to bait in buyers. In reality, they can lead to you paying substantially more for your car over the term of the loan. Because car loans for bad credit can come with higher APRs (Annual Percentage Interest Rates), you may end up paying a lot more than the car’s full value in the end. Ultimately, if you are working with bad credit, it can be tougher to find the right lender/loan.The good news is that research, preparation, and negotiation can help you get approved at a much lower interest rate than expected.Find the loan that’s right for your situation. Then pay it off to improve your credit score and potentially refinance if you find better terms. At Greenville Nissan, our finance department is dedicated to ensuring you leave our lot happy. No matter your credit score, our finance managers are ready to help you find the ideal car and finance plan for your lifestyle. You can customize any of the new or pre-owned vehicles in our inventory - why should finance programs be any different? Getting Ready to Trade Your Used Car for a New Car

Have you noticed your car not running like it used to? Are you ready to upgrade to a shiny new one? Trading in is a great way to save money on your new upgraded vehicle. Trading in a vehicle is a very easy and straightforward process and can be a lot simpler than selling privately. Trading in your old car is also a great way to lower the monthly payments on your new car. Whether trading in your car for a new car or even a used car, getting the most money back is very important and to do this, attention to details matters. Getting a fair price for your trade starts with one easy step prior to even coming into the dealership. That first step is, “Get your car prepped and ready to trade”. Getting Ready to Trade Your Used Car for a New Car Here are a few things you can do to ensure you get the most out of your trade-in before you go to sell your car: Clean the car, inside and out. Imagine what you would think if you went to purchase a car and it was covered in dirt and trash. What would you perceive as the value of that car? What would your idea of a fair price be for a car that was not clean? It’s not a bad idea to have your car detailed. Making a good impression gives the best chances at the best offer. Fix small issues yourself. This goes along with the thought process from above. You want to give a great first impression and to do so, be sure to check all of the car’s lights. This includes dome lights, and tail lights and replacing them if needed. It’s always a good idea to top off all fluid levels, such as coolant, washer fluid, and brake fluid. If your car needs more serious work, leave that for the dealer. Any major issues will lower the value of the trade-in, but the dealer can perform the repairs for less than it would cost you. Gather all important documents. Dealers can pull a vehicle’s history report but you will need to have a few other documents ready for the trade-in. This will include the title, registration and any service records you may have. A well-serviced vehicle will bring more value and having the documents to show that you have serviced the vehicle regularly will definitely help. Grab any extras. Do you have an extra set of keys? Does your navigation system have a DVD or SD card associated with it? Bring those along with you. In some cases, you can not get credit for accessories that are not complete. Conduct your own inspection. Are there any dents or scratches that can be worked out with a little elbow grease? Take a test drive, and pay close attention to anything that may be not right. Note them, whether electrical or even the need for new tires. Determine your car’s estimated value. Do this after you have inspected your vehicle. This will give you a good idea of what to expect realistically. You can use sites like Kelly Blue Book to determine this. This will give you a great starting point for negotiations. At Greenville Nissan, we are always looking to give top dollar for trade-ins toward any of our new or used vehicles. We pride ourselves on making customers happy and making great deals. Our customers know that they can rely on us here at Greenville Nissan and they can always “Expect Miracles”.

And judging by the 2018 lineup, Nissan’s latest fleet might be its best ever. The new Altima, Pathfinder, Rogue, and Sentra models are poised to lead Nissan and its drivers into 2018 and beyond. Let’s take a peek to see what competing manufacturers are up against in the new year. Preview: 4 of Our Favorite 2018 Nissan Car and SUV Models 2018 Nissan Altima The Nissan Altima has been a major player in the midsize sedan market for years, and the 2018 model only further cements that positioning. Automatic Emergency Braking — which was previously only available on upgraded trims — is  standard for 2018. And with additional USB charging ports to complement a rear-seat reminder system, the new Pathfinder is more geared up than ever before. 2018 Nissan Rogue With seating for up to seven and 70 cu. ft. of cargo space, the “Rogue” name is fitting for a crossover SUV that stands out amongst its competitors.
